We have been experiencing slow form submissions and reCAPTCHA failures, what can we do to fix this?
We previously recommended against using Sitefinity’s native Forms due to slow submissions and reCAPTCHA failures. These issues have been resolved, and Forms are now stable and reliable for use.
🔍 Issue Summary
Users experienced the following problems with Sitefinity Forms:
Forms would take too long to submit.
Google reCAPTCHA would timeout before submission.
In some cases, the form failed to submit entirely.
✅ What’s Been Fixed
A system patch from Sitefinity’s developer (Progress Software) has been implemented.
We conducted extensive manual and automated testing with repetitive and concurrent submissions.
Forms now submit reliably with no timeouts or crashes.
📌 What You Should Do
If you removed Google reCAPTCHA, please re-add it to your forms.
To add it: Drag the reCAPTCHA widget onto the form, just above the Submit button.
If you’re not using reCAPTCHA yet, we highly recommend adding it to all forms to prevent spam and bot submissions.
