I would like to better understand how to use filters / filtering in the Google Analytics GA4 dashboard?
- Charts and tables in the dashboard display filtered data to ensure that only relevant information is shown. Filters help refine the data by including required values or excluding unwanted data, making the analysis more precise and meaningful.
- Within a table or chart, applied filters are visible as part of the chart configuration. These filters are based on specific fields—such as Interests—and use defined conditions to control which data appears. Multiple conditions can be applied together, allowing the chart to reflect more focused criteria.
- As a result, the chart displays only the refined dataset based on the applied filters. This targeted view improves clarity, supports accurate comparisons, and helps focus on the most relevant GA4 insights across the dashboard.
