How would I create a Library folder?
Sitefinity offers multiple ways to organize and display images, most commonly through Image Libraries and Image Galleries. While both options store and showcase visual assets, they serve different purposes and behave differently.
An Image Library is a core Sitefinity content storage feature. It is designed to:
- Organize large numbers of images
- Support folder hierarchy
- Store images for reuse across pages, modules, and widgets
- Provide metadata, versioning, and permissions
- Support direct file management (upload, replace, move, rename)
How to create a Library folder of images
- Select Content, Images, Create Library, type the name of your library, Create
2. Upload Images, select files to upload
3. Upload and Publish
