How do I add a link to a video to a page?
After you have uploaded a video file into a Sitefinity CMS library, you can configure or modify various properties of the video. To do this, perform the following:
- On Videos page, open the library where the video is located.
- Locate and click the video. The Video properties page appears.
Edit video URLs
By expanding More options, you can change the following:
- The automatically generated URL of the video. Under URL, click (Edit) and enter a new URL name.
- The additional URLs for the video. Under Additional URLs, click (Add additional URL), enter the URLs, one per line, and press ENTER. Use the following convention: /videos/<URL name>. If you are using custom sources, you also must include the source and library in the URL - /videos/<source>/<library>/<URL name>.
- The URL to file Under URL to file, click (Edit) and enter the URL that the file can be accessed through.
- The additional URLs to file Under Additional URLs to file, click (Add additional URL), enter the URLs, one per line, and press ENTER. Use the following convention: /videos/<URL name>. If you use custom sources also include the source and library in the URL - /videos/<source>/<library>/<URL name>.
YouTube Video Links
Use the URL for the Web page, which will be in the address bar of your Web browser. Do not use the “sharing” URL – which begins with https://youtu.be – as this will not work within the video pop-up functionality.
