1. Click on the title of the document or file or click the link Actions and from the menu select Document Properties
2. You will then see the Edit Properties form for the document, and you can edit the following fields:
- Title - A title can consist of letters, numbers, spaces or punctuation (e.g. dashes)
- Open or Replace the file - Click the gear wheel to open the file to view or replace the file, more on this below
- Library - View or change the library folder where the file is stored
- Details - the following are optional fields that do not display on the Web page, including:
- Author - The author(s) of the document or file
- Description - A description of the document or file, and can include identifying information on the document or names of people in a photo
- Other details - Additional information such as page count, etc.
- Advanced - Optional settings for the file, such as the filename on the server
- File locking settings - By checking one or more of the following checkboxes, a document can be locked on the Web site to the following user groups:
- Members Only - This is an automatic group defined by Aptify settings for Web users who are members, members pending cutoff and staff for the society
- Member List 1 through 10 - These checkboxes correspond to Aptify lists that are part of Enhanced Access Rights. Click the Publish button to save all changes
Open, Update or Replace the File
When the gear wheel icon to the right of the image is clicked, the Open / Replace menu is presented. To open a file to view it, click Open the file and the file will open in a new browser tab. To replace a file with a new file, click Replace the file.
Replace the file
1. When Replace the file is clicked, the file name and icon will be replaced with a prompt to select a new document or file from the computer. 2. Once a file is selected, the filename will appear in the place of the prompt. Note no other information is automatically changed when replacing a file. 3. When finished with the file replacement or any other changes on the form, click Publish to save the changes.
