Should I check the box 'Enable social sharing buttons' on content types?
No. This social media function is not used. Instead, we provide social sharing buttons as part of the page template where Web visitors can select the social media platform - or email - to share a page.
There are 2 ways to link to social media accounts:
- Add the social media icon as an image and link to the social media account. See: Add Image to a Page and Link
- Submit a support ticket to request the "Stay Connected" section be added to your web site footer. Provide the society site name and the URL links to each of the social media types you want added and linked. The following icons are available to be displayed in the footer with the corresponding link to your account.
